The Texas Water Quality Association (TWQA) featured me in its March 2026 Member Spotlight. I’m glad to have the chance to share a little about my work and the people we serve here in West Texas.
I’m Tony Surles, owner of Redeemed Water & Plumbing and a Texas Master Plumber (M-46673). I have 16 years of experience in plumbing and water treatment. This is a state-level TWQA spotlight, and I appreciate the association taking an interest in our family business.
Helping homeowners understand their water
TWQA asked what interests me most about this industry. For me, it’s how much we rely on water without thinking about it until something goes wrong.
Working with homeowners in Odessa, I see the effects of hard water: mineral buildup on fixtures and added wear on water heaters and appliances. Those everyday problems are a big part of why I work in water treatment.
Clear answers before choosing a solution
One of the biggest parts of my job is helping people understand what’s happening in their home. If you have a water-quality concern, you should know what the problem is, what your options are, and why a particular solution makes sense.
I don’t believe in pushing equipment people don’t need. Whether we’re discussing a water softener or a plumbing repair, I want you to feel comfortable asking questions.
Doing the work right
“Do it right the first time” is a principle I bring to my work. I got my start with Rainbow Plumbing. That experience helped shape how I approach residential plumbing service and repair at Redeemed: communicate clearly, do careful work, and treat people honestly.
A little about life outside plumbing
When I’m not working, I enjoy PC gaming, especially medieval and high-fantasy RPGs.
TWQA also asked who I’d like to sit down and talk with. My answer was King Solomon. I’d want to ask about wisdom, leadership, and making good decisions—subjects that matter to me as a business owner and in my everyday life.
Thank you to TWQA for the spotlight, and to our customers for trusting us with their homes.
